In the field of architectural facade cladding, WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) co-extruded wall panels have become increasingly popular in recent years. Combining the properties of wood and plastic, they offer an alternative solution for building facades.

In terms of structure and performance, these panels are typically manufactured using a co-extrusion process. Their surface is coated with highly weather-resistant ASA or PVC material; this co-extruded layer enhances the panel’s resistance to UV radiation to a certain extent, helping to slow down the fading and aging processes in outdoor environments. According to relevant standard tests, color variation in high-quality products can generally be kept within a certain range even after years of outdoor use. The inner core is primarily composed of a composite of wood flour and polymer plastics. This structure provides excellent waterproofing and moisture resistance, with a water absorption rate typically below 0.5%, making the panels resistant to significant swelling or deformation in humid or rainy environments. Additionally, the material possesses mold- and insect-resistant properties, making it resistant to damage from termites and other pests.

In terms of fire safety, WPC co-extruded wall panels typically meet Class B1 fire-retardant standards. They possess self-extinguishing properties when exposed to fire and do not emit large amounts of toxic gases, thereby complying with fire safety requirements for exterior wall cladding.
From an environmental and maintenance perspective, the raw materials include a certain proportion of recycled plastic and wood flour, which helps reduce the consumption of virgin timber. The production process is relatively clean, with no discharge of wastewater or exhaust gases. During use, due to its dense surface, daily maintenance is straightforward; surface stains can generally be removed with just water, eliminating the need for regular painting or preservative treatments required for natural wood.
In terms of installation, WPC co-extruded wall panels typically feature a snap-fit modular design. This installation method improves construction efficiency and reduces on-site construction waste, making it suitable for rapid renovations of existing building exteriors as well as new construction projects.
